About Klair

Klair is a platform where you can easily rent, trade and give away things in your local area. The idea is to make better use of what we already have, rather than always buying brand new.
Why I am building Klair
The sharing economy has gained a lot of popularity in recent years, but mostly in specific categories like cars, bikes and houses. I have always imagined a world where everything could be shared, like the tool you need once, the tent you need for a holiday, and of course the books you have already read.
Why is there no single platform that brings renting, trading and giving away together? Why is there no place where you can rent something for a short while instead of buying it brand new? Why does everyone need to own the same tool or machine, only for it to go unused most of the year?
A place for helping each other
So I am building that place, a platform for individuals and small communities where people help each other out by renting things, trading things, or simply giving away what they no longer need.
One city at a time
This only works if there are people near you. That is why I am starting with a few cities and expanding slowly, hopefully to more countries later. Tell me your city on Discord and I will add it.
Still early
It is still early, so a lot is still undecided and small things are missing. But it is starting to look like an early version that can actually be used. It would mean a lot to me if some of you posted your things on it, so I can adjust, remove and improve whatever needs improving, based on your feedback and the stories of the people using it.
Let's build it together
I want to build Klair together with the people using it. When there is an important decision to make, I will bring it to you and let you vote. My hope is that Klair grows into a place where thousands of people help each other, and I believe that starts with a small group who truly love it.
