What I store, why, and for how long.

Last updated September 7, 2026

I store what is needed to run Klair and nothing more. Your data is never sold and never used for advertising. You can export it or delete your account yourself in account settings.

  1. 1. What Klair collects

Account details such as name, email, language, timezone and country. The items you list, reservations with dates and prices, reviews, your messages, and the social content you create such as posts, stories, comments, follows and communities. Operational records of platform events are kept up to 400 days, longer where bookkeeping law requires it.

  2. 2. Cookies

A session cookie keeps you signed in, and small preference cookies remember language and theme. Your bag lives in your own browser. No analytics cookies and no advertising cookies.

  3. 3. Sharing

The owner of an item sees the name and contact details on your reservation. Members of a shared reservation or group chat see your name and profile. Personal data is never shared for advertising.

  4. 4. Retention and deletion

Reservations and their messages are kept while your account exists. You can delete your account in settings. That deletes your profile, messages and social content, and past reservations are anonymized.

  5. 5. Your rights

You can export, correct and delete your data in account settings. Under the GDPR you can object to processing based on legitimate interest, and you can complain to Datatilsynet.
